I bought this in 2011 and use it all the time still. The range seems to be sufficient. I haven't tested its limits, but I've never had an issue with signal loss in my home. The case gets really hot, which still bothers me, but didn't do anything. The biggest complaint I had was that the firmware is a bit problematic and there don't seem to be any custom firmware solutions. For most people, however, it doesn't matter. Overall, this is a good choice if you need a hybrid wireless-N router and DSL modem. However, you should consider waiting for new AC wireless devices to launch before buying rapidly declining technology.
