Works great with my 78 450SL with Becker 485 cassette stereo I am very impressed with the sound quality. I was also able to make hands-free calls at high speeds. I have attached two photos that were important to me during installation. First, there is an easy way to gain power. Simply connect the connector to the red wire and slide it over the connector just below the black wire going to the amplifier. Then attach a ring or slide connector to the end of the grounding wire and secure it to the back of the main unit with the grounding screw shown in the 2nd figure. No threading or splicing required. The rest was easy. I ran the button placket behind the AC panel, under the ashtray, and under the shifter panel. At this point I peeked the mic in the top left corner of the main unit, not wanting to go behind the dash and climb up the pillar to the window curtain. I hope this will be helpful for those looking to upgrade their classic Mercedes. PS there is a guide online on how to remove/reinstall the radio from the R107 if you search.
