Review on Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC DotDisplay by Aneta Joanna Siudak ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Average purchase, there is something to complain about.

A compromise smartphone. I risk arousing people's indignation by estimating the people's phone of the autumn-winter 2022 season so low, so I will try to be reasonable: - Design: I took it from alik, blindly, instead of MI 9T (whose battery began to sag, and he began to annoy with his stability :) - when I opened the box, I was unpleasantly surprised by the size, design, cheap plastic - in terms of aesthetics, between 9T and XZ - the abyss . 90% of the aesthetics is hidden under the cover, but in the cover the HZ becomes completely a coffin; - CPU / memory / performance: there are no complaints here, the performance for my needs is with a margin (I don’t play games, sometimes I spin all sorts of CAD models in viewers on the run - everything spins very quickly and “explosions” are worked out very quickly; - Battery and fast charging: here, too, everything is almost flawless, although at times some parasitic processes are consuming the battery (even when the 120 Hz mode is off and the screen on time is relatively short); - Display: since I am not sensitive to hertz (this is purely individual), for the life of me, I don’t understand the enthusiasm - if we discard 120 Hz (which, rather, is not for the display, but for its controller), we have a standard IPS from a Chinese manufacturer of the second tier ( Huaxing Optoelectronics, "daughter" of TCL) with a strange color scheme - instead of white - dirty yellowish (like Soviet toilet paper); - Camera: the main camera is not bad, but, often, at the very last moment, defocuses occur (similar to a glitch in the PDAF algorithm). Also, the white balance on the standard camera often messes up. As a result - very unpredictable image quality under constant shooting conditions - and Sony has good potential . Ultra-wide is a pain - apparently, they shoved several cheap plastic lenses and inexpensive CMOS from OV or Samsung - soap around the edges, a barrel and other artifacts; at night it’s not even worth trying at all; - Glitches: caught with native bootloop firmware after the December ate (on the forums - Indians with a similar trouble), this became a decisive factor in switching to another device.

Pros
  • TTX (on paper) and performance Battery and fast charging
Cons
  • Dimensions and design cheap plastic The main camera not tuned to its potential and a very mediocre ultra-wide (it is unlikely that anything will help him) Screen color reproduction (white is terrible, like some other colors from the palette) Serious glitches (bootloop) - for me it turned out to be a decisive factor
