Inexpensive Mac for software testing
I bought a Mac Mini for software testing. It's cheaper and comes with a Core i5. Installed OS X 10.12. OS X 10.12 is too heavy for this machine. There isn't enough processing power to do simple things like drag and drop in the UI. The mouse is intermittent and the computer loses part of the drag and erases the document when the processor is busy redrawing the desktop. However, the machine did its job over SSH. I was able to build and test various non-GUI libraries from the command line and test them as expected.
