It takes a little practice and time
I got it as a present for my brother. The ice balls they make are a decent size but not so big that they don't fit in a glass. Its main complaints are that they take around 24 hours to craft (what a shock that the Ice Ball takes some time to fully solidify). They also leak a bit if you open the freezer before they've had time to harden around the perimeter (best to start at night). And if you pour ice directly into the balls and put them in the freezer, the ice will turn cloudy. He had to search the internet for the best way to make transparent ice balls.
