Review on Uniden TCX905 Accessory Handset Charger by Ashley Martinez

I bought this accessory phone to use with the Uniden TRU8866 base set. The user guide for each base dial model you use will tell you how to "register" an additional phone on the base dial so that it can be used. Unfortunately, the instructions for this phone regarding the base 8866 do not work! After some time with a confused Uniden man on the phone, they gave me the correct instructions: slide the battery cover off the phone (without removing the battery); Then plug it into the base's dial jack (as long as the dial is not being used to make the call); then registered. Install the battery cover and voila! It works. (The reason for removing the battery cover is so that the accessory phone fits in the base kit's slot, which isn't really designed for it.) A little cumbersome to set up, but other than that the phone works great.
