Review on The Celtic Collection: 25 Knitwear Designs for Men and Women by Kim Sanchez

This is my first Alice Starmore book. I found out about it on a knitting forum. I believe this is the only book by Alice Starmore that is still in print. This is a wonderful book and lives up to the high expectations of Alice Starmore's design on the knitting page. Beautiful sweaters, photographed on models in a breathtaking natural setting. It's a knitting book and a travel book under one cover. Its design is based on traditional motifs found in Irish jewelry and illustrations in ancient Irish manuscripts. The colors are either beautifully subtle or strikingly strong. I found out why this is the only book of hers that is in print. There is a controversy surrounding Alice and her daughter Jade (which I won't try to explain) that explains why her other books will probably never be reprinted and she won't write any new knitting books. So grab this great book by Alice Starmore at a great price from Revain while you still can!
