Replaces my old tire which has been on the boat for about 3 years. It was a much thicker material, but weathered. This cover material is very thin and a stitch around the edges of the elastic cord is not enough. The hem unraveled when I opened the package. When I pulled it over the hoop (28" OD) the elastic cord ripped and most of the hem came loose. After an awkward tug on the cord I was able to tie a knot on it and covered the splint very neatly. don't expect that it lasts too long
