Does the Apple Pencil charge? Yes! NO! Back and forth people act like it's a clear problem when it's actually a gray area. Sometimes it is, sometimes not. Some are lucky, some aren't. Mine hits or misses, enough that I have to wiggle it up and down, back and forth, and sometimes it charges. The case is good, but that's where the positives end. Folding the lid to hold the iPad at an angle is messy and cheap. Consider the unnamed $12 Chinese case. So out of the three metrics it has to meet as metrics (Fit, Function, Pencil), it outperforms one and fails on two. Try a different case.
