Review on πŸ”₯ High-Performance DeatschWerks 255 LPH In-Tank Fuel Pump with Installation Kit - Guaranteed Efficiency and Easy Set-Up by Jeremy Lunn

Worth what I spent.

I ran across this little guy looking for a solution to a tank problem on an '86 Volvo 245 that I picked up and modified for a Gambler 500. The stock fuel system uses two pumps. , one inside and one outside the fuel tank to supply fuel. My pump in the tank failed and the load was shifted to an external pump. I had my doubts about going to a single in-tank pump, but this thing delivered everything it had. I'd say we put in over 500 miles on our trek, and the only fuel system issues I had after installing it were - it's a bunch of 30-year-old hoses leaking from the now-improved fuel pressure. After a little pinching action, this pump was the solution I was looking for. It fitted directly into the "basket" of the standard fuel pump on the stand with minimal modification. The included hardware and cabling were solid and worth using. Overall very happy with the product. This is one of the few things that survived and will carry over to my next raised brick project.

Pros
  • Special tool for installing in the tank
Cons
  • Good but not great
