I wanted a navy blue towel set and it was a good choice. I washed them right away. A 1/4 inch layer of lint was trapped in the drawer. The fabric of the towel is rough. The thickness is average. That's fine for my needs. I recommend washing them separately to prevent fading on other fabrics. Never use chlorine bleach. They have faded a bit after washing but are still dark blue in colour. The threads broke when washing. If you are planning to use these towels as gift crafts, they are fine. They make a cute diaper cake filler. The towels are perfectly usable but not luxurious. They would be good in bed and breakfasts and for everyday use. Make sure you recycle them when you've worn them out as cotton is very durable and reusable. When embroidering, use the top and bottom guards to prevent the presser foot from catching in the buttonhole. The loops are visible in the photo.
