After learning that someone had opened the wire mesh gate to my backyard at night and left it open, my dog went outside. Luckily a neighbor called me and I picked it up. We've had a bunch of car break-ins lately, so I'm guessing someone was thinking of breaking in through my backyard patio, but my little mustache must have barked "Miles" and chased them away. That's why I bought it instead of a padlock and chain because I hate keeping track of keys. It is very easy to program with your personal 4 digit code and seems strong enough to withstand compromise except for heavy bolt cutters.
