Last fall I bought a down jacket on sale for $50. The jacket was great but after a few months the zipper fell off and was lost. I tried replacing it locally but the price should have been close to the cost of the jacket. I bought this zipper and my neighbor sewed it on me. That works great. This zipper is much stronger, has big teeth. The only thing to note is that there are small plastic tabs at the lower ends that cannot be sewn. I took a very small drill and made two holes in each bar. I then hand sewed the ends of the jacket to make sure they were really secure.
