Bulletproof YKK zippers. No snags and buttery smooth. A perfect replacement for the old worn out metal zipper on my favorite fleece jacket. Would I buy it again? Absolutely!

I had a new fleece vest and the nameless zipper broke almost immediately. I've been using YKK zippers in touring and motorcycle clothing for decades, so after a quick search on the internet, the new YKK was at my door. A few minutes on an old sewing machine and my fleece vest is up and running again. I know a vest can wear out, but a zipper never.

I have an old favorite Eddie Breuer goose down coat that had a couple of broken zipper teeth. I adjusted the length and the numbers on the zipper puller and this one was accurate. Aside from mine being dark blue, the black was almost invisible. It looks like it would take a skilled seamstress to replace the entire zipper. I was only able to replace one side with damaged teeth because it fit perfectly and was the right side. It's plastic so I hope it holds up.

Last fall I bought a down jacket on sale for $50. The jacket was great but after a few months the zipper fell off and was lost. I tried replacing it locally but the price should have been close to the cost of the jacket. I bought this zipper and my neighbor sewed it on me. That works great. This zipper is much stronger, has big teeth. The only thing to note is that there are small plastic tabs at the lower ends that cannot be sewn.
