I needed a knife to cut the rockwool insulation and many people recommended a bread knife. Working with mineral wool is very similar to Angel Food Pie. Serious! It's soft and porous, with a slight crust on one side. It tears and breaks easily and is much easier to cut than bread. The 10" blade length is great for cutting large sheets over 3" thick. The handle and blade are beautifully finished with a satin finish on the blade. It looks like a wooden handle and is very comfortable to hold. I kept it for a few days for insulation work, so it's certainly good enough to keep for a loaf or two. The logo is simple and attractive. I bought this one because I didn't want to ruin the one in the kitchen. or my trailer. This one is 20 times better than these and still feels sharp. The thick and strong blade was great for wedging between pieces to position them and would probably also work well as a spatula if you needed to cut and serve something. like a cake...don't know if I should leave it with my cute tools or wash it and put it in the kitchen!
