I'm a resin printer. Seriously, I have 2 resin printers that work side by side almost constantly. I stumbled upon this for fun, to see how the PLA folks live, and I have to say it's a lot of fun. However, it is definitely not as easy as tar. So unless you're the type to tinker with things to play around and enjoy what comes out of it, whether it's an improvement or not, it might not be. car for you. The first thing you need to do is build a printer. You literally get a box of parts, instructions, and some directions, and until you figure it all out you won't print anything. The instructions are as good as they can be because they're artificially reduced to 12 steps, but I highly recommend watching a few videos before delving into them. the part you don't have because they all decided to upgrade something before they even took their printers out of the box. There are a lot of upgrades for these things. This is the next little work to be done. Find out which parts you're having the most problems with and find the update that fixes them. Find out which part of the process you dislike the most and find a fix that automates it. Find out what your biggest end product quality issue is and find an update that fixes it. You can spend a lot of money on upgrades and each one is worth it. All in all it's up to you. As for the prints themselves, I have to say that it's great to watch the layers build up and your object take shape. That usually doesn't work with resin. It also gives you the opportunity to catch problems early and not waste as much time/resources in case of a crash. There are also great communities to help you work even harder to get better, smoother results. Of course you don't get the ridiculously small parts that resin makes, but in return you can make bigger, stronger parts. I thought I would be far less impressed with the results than I was, but this definitely has a place on my hobby table. I just need to get something else off of it so I have room to fiddle around.
