That might be fine, but I doubt it was hand-sharpened by the blademaster.

I think I had a knife sharpened by an apprentice craftsman. The edge of my "single bevel" is shown in the picture. It seems they are trying to add a microbevel but it didn't work; You only have a dull knife, unable to cut a tomato. I thought about fixing the edge, but dismissed that idea; Hard steel repairs like that wouldn't be fun. I was very sorry but I returned this beautiful piece of art as it was unusable for its intended purpose.
