The package arrived in good condition in less than a day. The package I received in the box looked like it had been opened although all the parts were there. There weren't even instructions, although there was a wiring diagram on one side at the bottom of the box - in Chinese. On top of everything else, it was a diagram showing everything I needed to know for a successful install. I fitted this to a 1988 Volvo that had a faulty lock cylinder. This car was originally equipped with power door locks that were operated manually by pressing the lock in the driver's door or turning the key in the driver's door. This locked all the doors and the hatch. As a result, all the wiring was already in place and working in my car and all I had to do was hook this device up to the original Volvo drivetrain to get it working in all four doors and the tailgate. To do this, a radio-controlled operator was built into the steel structure of the door, where it could directly pull (or push) the lock's activation bar. The device must fit in the door so that it does not collide with the upholstery of the door panel. In addition, it must be adapted to the curvature of the window so that it does not interfere with window mechanisms. The same applies to the receiver unit, which is mounted next to the driver's door actuator. Finding and commissioning the power source took most of the time during the installation. In the end I decided to use a spare fuse in the fuse box and remove the built in fuse that comes with the kit. All in all it was a pretty simple setup; The steps required are obvious to anyone with a bit of mechanical/electrical experience. January 2018 Two years later the unit still works as advertised and is a worthy addition to my old Volvo.
