They are not the strongest but they are master locks. Very small, inexpensive locks. I use them on Pelican cases with no problems. The tumbler mechanism is a bit crunchy. I added some copper graphite anti-seize as a lube, now it works very well. It's more of a deterrent for me and my application. When I'm out with my RC gear I'll tie down a steel cable for my jeep so I don't have to worry unless someone is carrying a 24" bolt cutter. For the price they are great. Don't expect a seriously motivated thief to get into your belongings with these, but they will deter a possible intrusive theft.
