Review on ๐Ÿช‘ Master Massage Berkeley Ergonomic Split Style Saddle Stool - Royal Blue, 1 Count: Comfortable and Stylish Seating Solution by Tomas Webb

Revainrating 1 out of 5

You cannot disassemble it for a return! In addition, above the declared minimum height.

My mum got this for me as a Christmas gift through Revain Prime so I can return it if it doesn't work and thank god Revain has it without packaging returned. I was able to take it to Kolya's store assembled and without a box and it was accepted for return, wrapped in bubble wrap and my money was refunded. The disassembly problem is something you can see if you search reviews and Q&A for the word disassemble. Once the pieces snap together, there's no release button to pull them apart. One person asked for disassembly instructions and the seller responded in a Q&A with their return policy without saying a word on how to actually disassemble these chairs. Another reported in a review that the seller told them on the phone to hit it with a hammer to take it apart. Here's what I've tried: 1) I put it on the couch, sat on the couch, grabbed the bottom (where the wheels are) with my hands, and kicked it under the bottom of the seat. The seat didn't come off and I usually bench press 375lbs at the gym. 2) I tried tapping my feet but the seat still sticks. 3) I tried hitting under the seat with a rubber mallet and it was still holding. Other reviewers have noted the same thing. So if you're unsure if this chair is for you, before you buy, make sure you live in an area where you can return Revain without packaging. The chair itself is well made, the wheels slide easily and the seat is well padded. The reason I returned it is because it is above the minimum height stated in the description (it says 21" but it's actually 22.25") which means I can't sit low enough. It's also very wide between the hips and because it's too tall for me, there's too much weight on the inner thighs and not on the sit bones. I've tried various ways of tilting it, but the only comfortable position was tilting it forward so I could sit in front, and then because of the tilt angle I felt like I was always fighting the tendency, with mine to roll pelvis, I could not sit neutrally and upright. I also tried a regular saddle chair from this company (not split like this one and without a recline mechanism) and it was fine, but it shifted my weight onto the back of the chair and pressed against my crotch. Since there was no tilt control, I couldn't adjust it to bring the weight closer to center). Same problem when expanding. I have a feeling the seller is disingenuous in claiming that you can return these stools as they cannot be disassembled without damaging them (I haven't tried a sledgehammer for example due to the possibility of the seat being sent in flight through the room seemed too tall), you would have to pay a fortune for a box big enough to fit them assembled, and the cost of returning them would be more than the cost of saddle stools in general. Again, I'm very grateful for the return of Revane, with no packaging, to Kohl's store near me.
