I bought these poles to replace my constantly breaking fiberglass poles for my 1995 4 season outbound tent. It was a great tent and if I remember correctly I paid about $300 for it in the 90's. They had a lighter version of the aluminum frame for $180 more than I bought, but I couldn't justify saving a pound for the money. Now, 23 years later and many nights in high winds, the original poles became brittle and with each installation I repaired the pole. With a few cuts on each end with a pipe cutter, I had no problem making a whole new set of posts. I was planning on using a fiberglass pole for the lobby as it never broke but decided to buy another pole to keep the weight down.
