It was very easy to make because they are so easy to disassemble and...

I used them to replace broken Ameristep Doghouse fiberglass blinds. Kennel poles are 8 feet long so I bought 11.3 foot aluminum poles here and cut them to size. It was very easy to make because they are so easy to take apart and also easy to cut with a hacksaw. Now I can go to many hunting seasons! invoice

Great replacement for REI Half-Dome 2 poles!

Bought a used REI Halfdome 2 HC tent, the legs were broken beyond repair. REI stated that a new set of frames would cost $100 and take about 10-12 days to manufacture. With a little thought and measurement, these sticks were the perfect replacement. Of course, they don't join together at the top midpoint like the originals, but who cares. They arrived quickly and looked and worked great! 12'4" racks exchanged for 12'2" racks without any problems.

Adjustable replacement poles for my Texsport

I had a cheap Texsport one man tent with thin fiberglass poles and a careful grip, apart from the poles, the tent is great, weighs less than 4 pounds and packs down to size 16 inch ball for softball or football. Finally found these rods, pulled on one of the ends and unhooked the bungee using needle nose pliers. also have a repair department if something bends in the field.

Great replacement for fiberglass rods!

The product corresponds to the description and the expected quality. Pros: Lighter than the fiberglass rods they replaced. Can be easily cut to length. as long as you plan the pre-installation steps. Here's what I think works best: 1. Measure the difference between your existing rod and the new (X-length)2. Pull the last tube far enough to grab the cable3. Clamp the cable between the tubes3. Unplug and disconnect the cord from the plug 4. Using a pipe cutter, cut the length X of the hose and…

Great update with fiberglass poles

The first pictures show Weana's poles above and my original poles below. I was able to reduce the packed weight of my 2 person tent from 6.2lbs to 5.1lbs. This included a tent, a canopy, two posts, four aluminum stakes. I also noticed a reduction in volume, probably due to the slightly smaller tube diameter and fewer sections. I ordered 12ft 2" knowing the original bars were 12ft 5" but they still fit very well. Aluminum is much stiffer than fiberglass, so my tent is noticeably stronger. The…

What a great product to bring an old tent back to life!

I bought these poles to replace my constantly breaking fiberglass poles for my 1995 4 season outbound tent. It was a great tent and if I remember correctly I paid about $300 for it in the 90's. They had a lighter version of the aluminum frame for $180 more than I bought, but I couldn't justify saving a pound for the money. Now, 23 years later and many nights in high winds, the original poles became brittle and with each installation I repaired the pole. With a few cuts on each end with a pipe…

A nice way to reduce the weight of a tent by 20%.

Excellent way to shed 18 ounces of weight from a two pole fiberglass tent (Stansport "Black Granite" Star Light tent with Rainfly awning). It went from a nice 5 pound tent to a super 4 pound tent for about $25 - a 20% weight reduction. fiberglass rods. I used a small pipe cutter to remove about 9 inches from a section of each rod and reattach the shock cable (easy). The cut pipe was then cut into four 1-3/4" pipes. A 1-1/4" section of 5/16" irrigation hose was placed over the end legs of the…

Works with male or female connectors out of the box.

This pole fits my Coleman Sundome 4 man tent perfectly. This tent has power outlets. At first it seemed like they wouldn't work, but in fact they work perfectly. Not as described in It is very basic. Pull out the end of the pen (don't loosen it, as the advert suggests) and keep it out of the way. Then insert the tent plug into the hollow tube. The advantage is that the pin end on the poles makes it very easy to plug into the tent. I give it 1 star because their instructions are confusing and I…

Good tent poles with one defect

I ordered these tent poles because of the good reviews and because they were supposed to fit my 4 person Coleman Sundome tent as described by Veanas. The bars appear to come with male end connectors only and no option for a female end connector. The Sundome tent comes with built-in anchor posts. You cannot make a proper connection with two connector ends. Weanas sells interchangeable connectors but does not provide connectors or even bother to make connectors to allow the tent poles to attach…
