I purchased #20, unsure of how true red it was going to be. It is pretty true red but pulls a cool undertone so it does not make my teeth look yellow (woo hoo). The smiling photo is freshly, thickly applied, and no smile is right after I wiped it off with a qtip and applied aquaphor over it. Once wiped off, it is a long lasting lip stain that is smudge-proof and easy to refresh throughout the day with a quick swipe of a time ltinted balm or gloss. By itself, the product is matte and not hydrating at all.I don't think I'd wear this color freshly applied without wiping it off because it is SO pigmented, but I love the look once it's been wiped off and glossed or moisturized. I will definitely buy it again in a softer shade too!
