This is awesome! My son's cats stayed with us while he was on assignment and after a few months they decided my vintage sofa looked like a great scratching post. I've tried citrus spray; I think they liked the smell and kept itching. Then I ordered this tape and everything changed. The tape is easy to apply, transparent and sticks well. The cats didn't like it and even stopped approaching the sofa. As for its stickiness, let me tell you it's sticky. I was making pasta by hand one night, and when I get the butter and flour in the bowl, I tend to sit on the back of the couch and watch the news with my husband, rubbing the butter into the flour before I add the liquid . So I was sitting there, working with both hands on the butter and flour, when I suddenly realized that I was sitting on the duct taped arm of the sofa. I tried to get up but was glued to the couch. Both hands are covered in flour and oil and useless in my predicament. The husband is crying, he is laughing so hard. I managed to unwrap the tape in the end, but nearly lost my pants when I came loose. Yes, this tape is sticky. When my son picked up his cats and brought them home I happily set about de-taping the furniture and to my great delight the tape came off immediately leaving no marks or damage on my sage damask fabric.
