I really like their pine tar soap so I was excited to try this. I have a thick beard and was looking for an alternative to my regular shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo has a slight patchouli smell, I guess I'm not a fan of this at all, but it hasn't lingered since it came out - it feels like it's robbing your beard of all moisture and softness. The conditioner doesn't seem to soften my beard as much as Pantene or similar, maybe it's the shampoo but I'm definitely not an expert. I've tried so many of these beard shampoos and conditioners and I honestly think everyone tries their best and as a result my beard doesn't get as soft as the cheaper stuff you find in the shampoo section of the big department stores. Unscented Beard Oil Works great, but I just don't like the shampoo and conditioner - maybe I'm just a wire-haired Neanderthal who hates change. Jim T
