Review on Green Toys Tugboat Blue - Eco-Friendly and Safe Bath Toy for Kids by Darrion Hudson

Best bath toy we have

My son got some other green toys for Christmas and this is the first time I'm hearing about this brand. I really liked the concept - made in the USA, from recycled plastic etc - but had a bit of "sticker shock" when I saw how much more expensive they are. I know, I know it's worth the extra cost when you get a quality product, but still! Anyway I managed to snag this boat during the Deal of the Day here on Revane so I jumped at the chance! (Although, to be honest, all bath toys seem incredibly expensive, this one was nothing special in comparison.) We have one in the bath and I think it's the best bath toy we have. And here's why: - The plastic it's made of is very thick and durable (unlike the thin, cheap plastic used in many other toys). - This boat will actually stay afloat unless you intentionally try to capsize it. I know this sounds like an odd comment, but other plastic boat toys have had varying degrees of success with this one, so I thought it was worth mentioning. In our experience over the past 2 months, it doesn't just randomly turn over or fill with water on its own. There is a small spout at the front of the boat. So if you fill it with water, it doubles in size. like a jet of water to wash off your soaped baby. (Or anything else you want to pour water on). And what I love most is that the more I learn about the ideas behind Green Toys, the more I can justify the expense. With the ever-growing list of toxic chemicals in children's toys, I'll be keeping a closer eye on this brand. A great option for those who used to be huge fans of Melissa and Doug but were disappointed that their quality is slowly declining as the company grows.
