Though this is a solidly built item, it does not fit as many lawn tractors as claimed. Many models just don't have clearance for the support piece that goes between the back plate and the transmission. They don't tell you which makes/models are compatible or not, but my Poulan Pro, not certain Craftsman, etc. I really wish they offered alternative configurations because I really needed this to work, but no go. If it fits yours, it's a good product.
