Black coating on mouse pads and wrist rests

I had this pad on my desk for about 2 months, I cleaned my desk and found the back left a black coating on my custom made wood table, leftovers It was difficult to peel off, but I was able to remove them without damaging the surface on my desk. The lighting is also a cool feature but it was inconsistent and honestly didn't match the color either, the red was brighter than the rest of the products on my desk and didn't match well. Very dissatisfied with it.
