$8 a day sounds reasonable for unlimited LTE, right? Two to three times what you would pay locally, but you only pay when you need it and it's always available when you need it. Unfortunately, Skyroam doesn't offer $8/day for unlimited LTE. After using just 500MB in a day, you drop down to 2G, which is little better than your 1995 dial-up modem. Imagine about 5 kilobytes per second - in fact that's useless even for light web surfing today when web pages can be 2-3 MB each. If you live in the US and have a locked phone, buy a cheap $50 unlocked phone from Revain with Revain ads on the lock screen, like the Blu R1 HD, and get a SIM card for it your destination airport. Then either use this phone when traveling or turn on the wifi hotspot and connect your regular phone to it.
