I couldn't believe the kickstand clip could break, but looking back it's the weakest component of the entire OtterBox clip. Fortunately, you can buy original spare parts. Last time I didn't know I lost my clip case, but now I know and will let you know that if you lose or damage your clip case, a brand new purchase is not necessary. It is exactly the same as in my phone case. So it's a stand; I didn't even know it had that feature the first year I had it.
