. A "vintage" version of the same item sells for a lot more. It holds all my records well and the drawers are smooth. It doesn't hurt at all. The only problem I had was that it arrived a day later than expected, but luckily I wasn't in a hurry. It was easy to assemble (I did it myself) and I only needed help lifting it up in the box - it weighs 78 pounds and is awkward to carry. I only used a screwdriver (they said you need a hammer, but I've never actually used one). I've collected a lot of furniture from Ikea and I'd say this is about the same if not a little easier. Just follow the instructions carefully and you will be fine! I don't usually write reviews but I hate to think that I almost didn't get it because of all the bad reviews. If you are looking for a stylish, affordable and easy to build IKEA quality record stand, I would highly recommend this one!
