TP-LINKAC1200 (WIRELESS) VS. TP-LINK AV2000

First, I bought TP-Link AV2000 (network adapter) and TP-Link AC1200 (PCIe wireless adapter) to compare their speeds. Situation: My girlfriend and I just bought cheap gaming/work computers upstairs and our modem/router downstairs. Since we rent a house, no changes can be made to the house. I made it my mission to find the best solution to access gaming/work/4k streaming internet on our two computers at the same time. I have tested both products and in my experience the wireless adapter (TP-Link AC1200) is faster. Just for reference, our house was built in 2002 and my current router is the RT-AC3100, a great router, the best I've ever owned. .com My max Mbps speed was around 20-25 Mbps. My service is 150Mbps down and 25Mbps up. After testing, we both started downloading WoW through the Blizzard Game Manager app. We had a stable download speed of 6-7 Mbps. About halfway through, I turned off the computer and installed the TP-Link AC1200 WiFi adapter on a computer. After installation, my speedtest.net and fast.com speeds are over 100Mbps. My WoW download speed is stable at around 15Mbps, which is twice as fast as any other computer at the time of this review. I just don't see the speed I'm getting with the wireless adapter. I'm giving 4 stars because powerline technology is cool and has a place in many applications, but the combo of my wireless router and wireless adapter is better than using a powerline adapter.
