I originally bought this to clean things like plastic before using a more specialized cleaner and cleaning pads. Now I use it for a variety of things; it really is as the name suggests: all gates. By varying the dilution you can use it for almost anything and I have at least 3 different bottles in different ratios for different uses: carpet shampoo, leather cleaner, polishing cleaner, exterior light cleaner/degreaser, plastic cleaner, engine bay. Wheelhouse cleaner/degreaser and the list goes on. This is a low sudsing cleaner so using it as a carpet or rug cleaner works much better than expected. Works perfectly with a foam sprayer where you only get a small amount of foam so it doesn't immediately run off vertical surfaces. although it won't hang forever. I've experimented a bit with what it will do and for wheel arches it works quite well as a bandage on fender liners and as a light degreaser on metal parts. After trying to just shake the dirt off with a 1650psi washer, I sprayed in some APC+ and let it sit for 3 minutes, after which another jet shook off much of the caked dirt. Well, oily sludge needs something a little more aggressive to be really effective, but it's not completely ineffective. On car badges, this works well to remove stubborn dirt from hard-to-reach spots, but takes a few uses once it's really stuck there. I know people who use it to steam their skin. I haven't done it yet, but I will soon, so be sure to read the comments. This product leaves pretty much all surfaces as they should be: no slimy films or shine enhancers, just a CLEAN surface. Plastics end up looking the way they should, so smooth plastics have a satin to light sheen as they were originally, textured plastics revert to their original matte finish. If your outer plastic has "tarnished," it's usually just dirty. Clean thoroughly with APC+ and it will most likely return to its original color. If APC won't ship it back, try a vinyl and rubber cleaner before resorting to a dye product. I had a few plastic pieces that seemed to have faded over the years and this method restored them all to their original jet black color. be used to something. it still needs to be moved for it to be effective, so don't think of it as a miracle product. minuses?
