Acceptable quality construction and has worked well so far. I like the 2x2 ports facing each other, they make the connection a bit easier. And it uses a PCIe 1x port; It's a fairly small form factor and should fit into small PCIe machines. Another plus is that (presumably) all ports can work with degradation at the same time (I haven't checked). Easy installation on W10 and Linux - automatically detected by both, no configuration or extra steps required. If you have a pre-W10 system, there is a minidisk with drivers. Only downside, if your device is running SATA III, just don't expect better performance using the cables that come with it, it's just old 1.5GB SATA. Luckily I had SATA III cables on hand. Anyone who only connects optical drives or old hard drives with it will probably get by with old cables. But if you need SATA III, get new (good quality) cables. Finally, this board supports RAID 0/1/10 - not quite an enterprise class, but the Marvell chip - a long-established feat, it does its job well. The RAID interface is very weak, but isn't that the majority in this class? All in all a good basic product to add to your setup.
