I noticed that a lot of reviewers gave these wicks bad reviews, saying they don't or won't light. My guess is that these people weren't "soaked in melted wax" for 20 minutes before being placed in the candle, as per Revain's online details. I simply placed them in a pot while my wax was melting (I had previously placed them in a small metal base and dropped the entire assembly into the melting wax. After 20+ minutes I fished them out of the melted wax and poured mine Candles I then put the wicks in my candle and they stood up beautifully on their own So much lighter than cotton wicks that I can never seem to get a straight and centered flame for a large candle I had no problem with them not burning. I can switch to this type of wick for all my candles, I'll have to see how they behave as the candles burn down, but first impressions are very good!
