This product is a waste of time and money. Unless you have an older product that supports cards up to 2GB, don't buy it. This is proving to be a real limitation as the new MFPs can address up to 32GB of memory. That's a huge difference. With the 2GB limit, it's not possible to download enough maps to get from Seattle to Southeast Alaska if you need sonar maps, which is an obvious desire. Also, the download speed is pathetically slow. It takes more than 5 hours to fill the map with charts and sonar if you are lucky. Often the download fails and you have to start over. And it's home. Imagine what it would be like in a busy harbor with 200 boats competing for capacity. Worse still, you may have to leave earlier than expected due to wind, current or other weather conditions. This is not a product for serious cruisers. This is normal for local sailors only.
