I spend hours researching hiking shoes and keep coming back to New Balance and the 847v3 is the best I've had in a long time (847 was the best)! I need good arch support (I am an arch supporter), room for my toes (although the width is too wide) and comfort for all my walks (minimum mileage per day for exercise as well as normal walking for my office job). ). ). These are definitely the best fit. They are very comfortable with plenty of toe room (often a size 11 barely fits my foot) and ample arch and heel support. I've read a lot of reviews and they were definitely mixed, but thought I'd give it a try; I'm glad I did!
