This pack of 10 popular PETG threads is a great way to discover the wonderful world of PETG! I typically do most of my prints in PLA, which is far more forgiving but also has its downsides. For the most part, PETG is a much stronger filament with flexibility and can handle higher temperatures, but it doesn't do a good job of bridging, printing small objects, and is more prone to scratches. My first run was with black thread and it produced as much oozing as you can. look at one of the pictures. What I tried to print is shown in the PRUSA Slic3r screenshot for reference. This caused the pressure to rise in several places as the nozzle contacted and caught on the lifted filament. After tugging the retract a bit everything was fine, but strangely I only had this problem with black thread. Other colors I've used have given better than acceptable results. Bed adhesion was excellent on smooth and textured sheets. On textured ones, the 3D PETG prints will simply slide off once the heated stage cools down. Prints on smooth sheets break off immediately when slightly bent. I did most of my printing at 220-225ยฐC and kept my bed temp at 80ยฐC, which is slightly above the recommended range. The thread was well packaged, each roll was shrink-wrapped and additionally wrapped in cellophane. Coil winding is excellent (no tangling) and the 1.75mm diameter was consistent after a few spot checks. The choice of colors in this pack is great and makes this set irresistible; especially for what you get for the price! Overall I am very happy with my prints. I even made a "natural" color translucent Raspberry Pi case to run Octoprint and mounted it on the back of the printer frame. I found it well done, it's durable and looks great! PETG is great for projects that require strength and some flexibility. Large prints are ideal. One thing I noticed with my PETG print is that there is virtually no filament, unlike PLA.
