This duvet is really pretty in its vintage shabby chic style. It's quite feminine and romantic and makes me feel good lying on my bed and sleeping under it. Not heavy enough as a standalone blanket on a cold winter night, this blanket is perfect for spring and summer. The fabric is a standard cotton duvet at this price. It's not overly thin or rough, but it's not silky smooth like you'd buy something from an upscale retailer like The Company Store. However, the price for this quality of fabric is too high. All in all I love this blanket and am delighted every time I look at it because it is so beautiful. However, if I was on a budget that made the price seem a bit steep, I might look elsewhere for a deal.
