My daughter is 10 years old and struggles with ADD in addition to problems at school (we actually kept her in 3rd grade). I buy a lot of school supplies online and was hesitant to buy a ruler knowing I could buy 1 for 50 cents at that horrible store we all have to go to. However, when I saw this line, I was intrigued. $9 for a line? It just seemed too much. I decided my daughter's education was worth the extra money if it made learning a little easier. It came in 2 days as promised (Prime). The colors and print are very easy to make and I hope this saves you from unnecessary learning frustration. I have a rubber fin on top to hold on to and a good grip. Whether you use rulers for reading or for drawing lines, I know this ruler was worth using. Can't comment on durability as she hasn't gone to school yet, but she's tough. To break it you had to try to bend it. I can't imagine why that won't last for a year of normal use.
