As windsurfers with the Sprinter van we were looking for a magnetic case that would be handy to tuck a modern day key fob on the underside in an unusual place for quick storage to deter car theft, while we're on the water. Other magnetic cases, even those marked "large", are too small - either too thin or the magnet penetrates the inside of the case, preventing a keychain with a tiny key ring and a small house key. This one lets you compress it, but it's easy, and with repeated use, the curved sliding cover is sure to crack. But so far this is the best we've found without a combination lock. I just don't understand why nobody makes one big enough - an extra 1/4 inch in each dimension still doesn't make this case huge and should help every car key in our family. And 1/2 more would definitely do. One would think that the study would not be so complicated, and then it would become universal. The magnets themselves seem strong enough, and while the lid is a little too fragile to rely on having to bend it to fit the keychain, it's strong enough if the case were larger. Hence 3 stars because it works while all the competitors we have tried so far are undersized.
