I may be spoiled. I owned one of these back in the 90's and it was a joy to use, so I was expecting that things would have improved through the years. The wax melted easily - as others stated, there isn't nearly enough. The top is made of extremely light-weight plastic and it doesn't fit well. It easily skips around and drops into the wax, which doesn't clean off easily. The wax worked well enough once it cooled enough to use. Mine from the 90's heated to the perfect temp and was ready to use, no need to turn off and cool (amazing that 30 years later they no longer have the technology). Be prepared - opening the plastic bags provided is like opening the produce bags at the grocery, so open them all before you start. The warming booties for the feet are impossible to keep on even being still. If I keep it will have to attach some Velcro to close them around the ankle. It's almost impossible to do both hands at once - imagine trying to get the bag & the glove both on with the other hand in a mitten! Add to that the poor quality of the wax which, once dry refuses to peel off easily. I had to scrub the bottoms of my feet to get the remainder of the wax off and still found flakes stuck on after my shower this morning. Gave three stars because it does work - but it's supposed to be relaxing, not irritating!
