I really like my monoblock stereo. He plays everything I need. Haven't tried recording on it yet, but if it works as well as it plays there shouldn't be a problem. We hooked up this stereo for our surround sound, but the unit's speakers seem to work well too. My vinyl plays great and cassettes work well, although I wish it had more buttons for the tape player. Playing CDs and I can play from memory cards. I only gave the stereo 4 stars because it doesn't read all the data from a full memory card. It only plays a certain number of songs (maybe 2 or 4 GB). After that, you can switch between folders, but only one song will play and then stop. However, 2-4GB is a lot of songs, so I'm satisfied. It also has an audio input so I can play straight from my tablet, mp3 player or phone. Definitely a goalkeeper.
