I have several other chargers that fit the laptop I used it on. None of them work well. Slow loading etc. This one looked decent for the price. Works well, charges the laptop battery fairly quickly. So far I haven't felt it get very hot, at least not warmer than the average adapter. I find the build quality is good, it feels solid and doesn't flex. However, the cable appears to be a bit cheaper. For the price I can't expect much and it's not much more than what you get from an OEM. I don't have very cold weather but this will really be my test. In cold weather, it stays loose or becomes stiff. Whether you need a power adapter for an HP business laptop or for a 2nd or 3rd at home/work etc. you can't go wrong.
