I bought several of these devices but the trackpad on my HP Elitebook 850 G1 was not working properly. The trackpad started twitching violently. Tried three different power supplies from this vendor with the same result. To solve this problem, I had to buy an HP branded power supply.

I first ordered this product in August and by October it was no longer mine. I'm ordering another one because the price was decent, but I really hope it's not a fluke. It sucks when your computer doesn't accidentally turn on, especially when you need it for work.

The order came earlier than expected and the charger looks like a good quality item. However, as long as the charger is connected to the laptop, the processor is limited by the low performance speed. This means that a processor whose normal frequency is 2.2 GHz will be capped at 0.79 GHz regardless of the load on the processor. As soon as I disconnect the charger, the processor frequency increases to 2.2 GHz. This renders the laptop unusable while connected to the charger.

I have several other chargers that fit the laptop I used it on. None of them work well. Slow loading etc. This one looked decent for the price. Works well, charges the laptop battery fairly quickly. So far I haven't felt it get very hot, at least not warmer than the average adapter. I find the build quality is good, it feels solid and doesn't flex. However, the cable appears to be a bit cheaper. For the price I can't expect much and it's not much more than what you get from an OEM. I don't have

I bought this power adapter to complement my laptop as I travel for work and have the original power adapter plugged in at home. The power adapter worked for about two weeks and then stopped working. I read the manufacturer's warranty and found it was covered. Support contacted. They helped me change the power adapter and made sure I had the right power adapter for my laptop. This item arrived quickly and was well packaged. I plugged it in and my battery charged in about an hour. Before that, my old charger took about 8 hours to reach 80%. I never saw him go beyond that. It must be admitted that the old one served for quite a long time. It remains to be seen how this will match the original. That's why I give it four stars. For the money if it lasts a year or so I'll be happy.

So far I've taken it with me on a trip where I needed it for my laptop. This summer I will make a few more trips, also to work, where I will also need it. This PSU works great with my 2009 HP G60-445dx which I recently restored to run Linux. Although this cable was a bit shorter than the original 12-foot cable that came with my laptop, I was able to use part of my old cable - the part that plugs into the wall and power supply - to cut some of that length bring back. There are no complaints as it was not advertised as an extra long cable. I just needed something to power an old laptop. It is ideal in terms of connection and voltage etc.

I've had 3 of these at the moment. The first started overheating and melting within a month, although this didn't stop it from working for maybe 5 or 6 months. It was cheap and I assumed it was a one time mistake so I ordered another one. Luckily, luckily, depending on how you want to look at it, it broke again and melted in less than 30 days.
