Review on Rowenta VU2631 Turbo Silence Table Fan: Powerful 4-Speed Portable Fan with User-Friendly Turn Dial by Jean Wynen

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Made in China; Assembled in New Jersey

Assembly: Nowhere in the product description does Rowenta state that this fan comes in parts that require customer assembly. I have never bought a fan, ANY fan that requires assembly. It is totally unethical for Rowenta to sell such an expensive product and expect the customer to assemble it without mentioning it in the product description. Rowenta's demeanor is really outrageously economical considering it's a Chinese-made product. It should also be noted that the blueprint guide is of poor quality; Rowenta doesn't even spend money to print assembly instructions in different languages. Power/Performance: This is a powerful fan that spins a lot of air. However, it is no more powerful than the average fan. Turbo/Boost function: nonsense. This is nothing but running the fan at maximum speed. Performance/Noise Level: The noise level of this fan is actually quite low at minimum performance. However, the noise level is no lower than any other average fan down to the lowest power level. Silent/Night function: more nonsense. This feature simply reduces the fan speed to its lowest setting. General Assessment: Required assembly and unsubstantiated claims of lower noise (besides the minimum power) and higher performance/efficiency make this fan overpriced and cheap. There is a lot of marketing advertising in this product. It's disappointing that a company like Rowenta, which has historically been associated with premium quality, should be reduced to maximizing its profits by requiring the consumer to assemble the product and targeting consumers with dubious marketing and misleading claims To deceive.
