Review on πŸ’ͺ The Ultimate Guide to American Valve M76QT Quarter 4 Inch: Functional, Reliable, and Versatile by John Holliday

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Valve works great, but if you can't hack anything, it's useless.

If the manufacturer cannot find the female thread, find another industry. Good rubber-nylon bushing or gasket, but a waste of time if you can't insert it into a female thread with just one turn. Every other attachment screwed onto the hoses with no problem, the 2 I bought didn't screw onto anything. The threads on the male end are fine, but never mind if nothing goes in, nothing comes out. Since writing the previous one I have received my 3rd separate order for 1 of these. Identical. Exactly the same problem. The ball valve is tight and smooth-running, no bypass or leakage to the outside, no dripping. But 5 different high-quality and expensive hoses (from different manufacturers) are IMPOSSIBLE! Screw it in more than 1 or 1.5 turns. Works well with the valve open, but once you close it you have a sprinkler in your hands. All 3 I've bought are fine for the shower, but for their intended function (stopping the flow of water from your hose, they're absolutely useless). And or but, buy your valve from someone else. Threaded on the female end (incoming), buy a useless piece of metal projectile found in your yard for free.
