Review on 🎨 Tried and Trusted: Original Wood Finish - Quart by Lamont Manjrekar

Great wood finish

I have used the tried and true Original wood finish on many projects over the years on a variety of woods. I've always had great results. T&T is very easy to use. I apply with a brush but I suspect a cloth or sponge applicator could be used. Because it contains beeswax, I have found that it spreads more easily in a warm room or outside on a warm day. You only need a thin layer, which you polish after drying. You can add as many levels as you like, but I've found that two or three is usually enough. There is no need to sand or rub with metal wool between layers. Since it is only beeswax and linseed oil, there are no drips or streaks. Once you've polished it, you'll get a beautiful, smooth, shine-free finish that brings out the beauty of the wood. If you want some shine, just keep buffing. I have never used a buffer for finishing, manual processing has always given excellent results. T&T darkens the wood a bit. The longer you leave it on and the more coats you apply, the darker the wood will be. It usually gives a golden brown or honey color to light colored woods. The finish is "rich" with a pleasant depth. It is a very good alternative to other surface treatments as it is very easy to use and gives fantastic results. It also contains no petroleum products. You can clean it with soap and hot water. Because it contains linseed oil, you must wear gloves, provide adequate fresh air, and soak the rags in water after use. And don't put it near heat sources. Good product!
