I used to have a Dirt Devil vacuum and was happy with it. I ordered this to replace after moving and leaving the vacuum to the new owners of my condo. Unfortunately, this model was different from my old vacuum cleaner and didn't work from the start. My main problem with the vacuum cleaner was that the handle kept slipping out of the vacuum cleaner body. In my opinion the design holding the handle in place was flawed. I only had a vacuum for a few weeks before I got completely frustrated and threw it away. Then I ordered a stick vacuum cleaner from another manufacturer for about the same price. Although I only had it for a short time, I had no problems with it. Sorry dirt devil, this model is a big disappointment.
