I bought some brass plated acorn nuts from the hardware store and it was a tragedy. I pierced the tip by pulling it down. This 304 stainless steel did it and costs a lot less for 4 times more. The stainless steel looks shiny and the dried wood glue rubs off immediately, which helps in my case. Ideal for covering the ends of screws that might accidentally come into contact with a person.
